over the age of 18. Tables will consist of single individuals, couples and
young and old(er) folks. There will be one person or couple who will take on
the responsibility of being the Head of the Table and help keep everyone
informed, involved and encouraged.
Why: Life is busy. Life is hard. And we usually end up dealing with the
challenges of life on our own. Table is an intentional initiative supported by
Hebron Church's Connections Team to encourage people to get together more
regularly, preferably around a table.
What: Tables that form will generally consist of 6 to 10 people who
commit to meeting together on a regular basis. To get the most out of this
experience, plan to meet at least 3 times before the end of this year.
Where: Tables can be formed in homes, restaurants or other spaces. Find
out what works best for your group and make it happen.
When: We would
like to launch our first group of Tables by the second week of October. The
deadline to get in on the first group will be Sunday, October 8.
How: Reserve your spot(s) at a Table by signing up through REALM or
scan the QR code. (You do not need a formal account to register for an event.)
You can also reserve your spot(s) by calling or emailing the church
Contact: Connections Team member Joyce Brown. She is a great resource and
can provide suggestions for places to meet and/or activities to help foster
connection. She can be reached at email@example.com.
1. What if I need childcare
In the past, groups with young families
have coordinated shared childcare. Some groups have included the kids in a
kiddie table fashion. What is most important is that you all get together. If
you need assistance in this area, please contact us.
2. What if I'm not available when the majority of my group is?
This can happen. It does not mean you shouldn't be at a Table. We will help you
find another Table that meets on a date that works for your schedule.
3. What if I am allergic to pets or can't eat certain foods?
During the registration process, you'll be able to let us know your dietary
preferences and any allergies (pets, fragrances, plants, etc.). We want to make
sure everyone can get together without hindrance.
