small group

bible studies

In addition to Sunday morning worship and Sunday School classes, Hebron offers Small Group Bible Studies. Small groups are an opportunity for people to meet with others  in a relaxed setting. Made up of 6 to 12 people, small groups are a place where we can study the Bible, grow in faith, encourage one another to grow in our love and knowledge of God, share joys and concerns, and see how God transforms us through the study of the Bible and through the shared life of others.

These Bible studies meet for about 7 weeks in neighborhood homes, restaurants, or the church, for 90-120 minutes, and will meet during the five Sunday School “terms” from September through May. Our goal is that the Small Group Bible Studies will be places where we nurture others, are nurtured ourselves, learn to love God more and live out the Gospel’s good news within a smaller segment of our community.

Tuesdays

Tuesday Afternoon Coffee—1:00-2:30 PM

(MarJean Miller, Lucy Siracusa & Audrey Terebessey) - Barclay Building

New Amazing Collection—Continuing our look into the Minor Prophets. The setting of these books may be ancient, but their message is very relevant to us today. To loosely quote Shakespeare, “A rose by any other name is still a rose.” No matter what new name we give it, sin is still sin! God’s warning still stands and His grace is still sufficient.

Tuesday Evening Bible Study—7:00 PM

(Margie Krogh & Christina Weaver) - Krogh Home, Penn Hills

For the next several weeks we will be talking about the "Gospel on the Ground"....the grit and glory of the early church in Acts.  We are discovering God's Power in Jerusalem and Judea, as He confronts the world and teaches us how to be bold and "irrepressible dynamos"!  We are learning how to take Christ to the world around us by seeing and coming to grips with how the Holy Spirit worked through his apostles. Please join us!

Thursdays

Thursday Morning Women—9:15-11:00 AM

(Shirley Dubeau, Boots Mulock & Pam Smith) - Barclay Building

For twelve weeks beginning January 12th we will be studying the Gospel of Luke. Luke wrote to strengthen the certainty of Theophilus’ faith. Join us as we jump in and enjoy Luke strengthening the certainty of our faith.

Tuesdays

Tuesday Evening men—7:00-8:30 PM

(Frank Cafaro & Bill Kear) - Barclay Building

Jesus has reconciled all creation to Himself and to God, and He has also united people from all nations to Himself and to one another in His church. Join us as we dig into Paul’s letter to the Ephesians, where these important themes are amplified and explained.

Wednesdays

Wednesday Morning men—6:45-8:00 AM (sharp)

(Bill Kear) - Barclay Building

Starts on January 18. What better way to start the day than in God’s Word, with friends and brothers in Christ! Join us as we prepare to read and study the Gospel of Luke. Luke’s Gospel finds its fundamental unity in the person of Jesus Christ and in his mission to seek and save the lost. Let’s find out together how ‘outsiders’ become ‘insiders’ in God’s Kingdom, only through Jesus!

Tuesdays

Dr. D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones on “Ephesians”

7:00-8:30 PM

(Dave Mulock & Marty Sidlo) - Sidlo Home, Monroeville

Do you feel like you miss some of the richness as you study the Scriptures? Listen together with us as Dr. D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones preaches on Ephesians. At the least, at the end of this study your God will be bigger, and you may be motivated and better equipped to do more intense studying yourself.
